What is The Brilliant Breakfast?

The Brilliant Breakfast is an annual, nationwide event raising funds for The Prince's Trust. Whether it’s a simple tea and toast at home with family and friends, or a workplace breakfast with a difference, you can help change young women’s lives.

The money you have raised from your breakfasts could help disadvantaged young women get into work, education or training and turn their lives around.

Together we can celebrate how successful women can be with the right support and opportunities.

Are you ready to do it all over again? You are! Well, we have great news. You can now register your interest to take part in the next Brilliant Breakfast.

Where does your money go?

By taking part and donating, we can give disadvantaged young women a brighter future. Meet Fumni, winner of the L'Oréal Paris Rising Star Award at The Prince's Trust Awards 2023.

Young women have borne the brunt of the cost-of-living crisis. They face unemployment, lack of education and qualifications, social isolation, poverty and homelessness.

The funds raised through holding a Brilliant Breakfast could help The Prince’s Trust provide training and support to get disadvantaged young women into employment or education.

£10 could teach one young woman how to manage her money with a budgeting session.
£50 could ensure one young woman can travel to work in the month before her first pay cheque.
£100 could contribute towards the specialist equipment that opens up a lifelong career for a young woman – for example to become a chef or mechanic.

About The Prince's Trust

The Prince’s Trust believes that every young person should have the chance to succeed, no matter what their background or the challenges they are facing. We help those from disadvantaged communities and those facing the greatest adversity by supporting them to build the confidence and skills to live, learn and earn.

The courses offered by The Trust help young people aged 11-30 to develop essential life skills, get ready for work and access job opportunities. We support them to find work because having a job or running a business can lead to a more stable, fulfilling life.

We are committed to enabling even more young people to create a better future for themselves. By helping young women today through The Brilliant Breakfast, the benefits for them, their communities and the wider economy will be felt for years to come.

Annoushka Ducas MBE

Annoushka is a jewellery designer, creative director and entrepreneur who founded British jewellery companies Links of London and Annoushka. She is a keen supporter of fostering female talent in business and is a Patron of the Women Supporting Women initiative for The Prince's Trust.

Annoushka developed the concept of a nationwide breakfast event to raise awareness and funding for The Prince's Trust after recognising how many young women, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, need a lifeline to support them into education and employment; only now exacerbated by the challenges caused by Covid and the cost of living crisis.

"Over the last three years we have made a strong start by raising £2.1m for The Prince's Trust which has helped young women gain the confidence and skills they need to go into education, work or training. We are more motivated than ever to help vulnerable young women live, learn and earn and are absolutely thrilled to have Waitrose on board as our Headline Partner to help us get more people involved across the UK."
